Before the summer starts – even if it’s coming late -, and thanks to feedbacks I had, I wanted to set a new version for Mecatrip. The website get better for publishing by improving the navigation. The only purpose is to share my adventures.
Early morning 5h27 wake up with a back pain and not because a friend of mine used me but because of sleeping on the floor. Straight to the shower to open the eyes. We get ready, a few pictures of the bike and let’s head to Bourg en Bresse. Straight shitty road (I still have nightmares…) and we cross a speed limit control at 8am! Thanks to the cars for having warn us before.
It’s been a while I had to take care of it! After putting the frame on wooden block, I’ve taken the front wheel and the fork out. The frame with the engine where left on the stand.
I think about it since i went to Australia for one year. It began the day I found a picture of some Fjord then on a video with some footages from Norway. This video, in addition to being really nice, makes you dream with its ideas. A few researches later, I knew Norway is THE country I want to go.
It’s been a while I’ve started dismantling the carb, around end of November. The time to buy the new screw hardware and a restoration kit. For those who don’t use twitter, I’ve started to reassemble the carb when I saw I didn’t have the right screws. The seller offered me to send me the right one. If you need some, just ask him, it’s really good quality http://carb-motor-screw-kit.com/
Well well well, it’s been a while since I’ve published a ticket, the website is not even up to date so I fix it right now.
I’ve spent three / four hours in my garage today.
I wanted to clean the front of the bike, so I started with bleeding the front brake. A simple hose and it does the work. Meanwhile I took the exhaust out, four screws and it’s out.
3h to go on with the teardown tonight.
The goal is to remove the fuel tank to get more space and then to empty the rear of the bike.
1h30 tonight to empty the oil from the engine and go on with the air box.
The oil is blocking at this point, after it, I’ll be able to remove the tank and and get easier access below.
